Trained as an anthropologist, Daniel applies formal research skills, like ethnographic field methods, to the identification and integration of user needs into interface design. His research background includes investigations of the interplay between technology and social organization as well as the intersection of media, communication, and society.

Having served as the Founding President of Toronto Interacts, the Toronto Chapter of the Usability Professional’s Association, and Founding Co-Director of the Canadian Usability Summit Society, Daniel has a firm hand in the ongoing professional evolution of user research and interaction design and is is a sought after educator and leader.
